The Girls and I with our dear friend, Susie Grant. We have known the Grants for over 13 years now. All five of my children have worked at the Pumpkin Patch or Yule Forest at one time or another. Tim was once the pumpkin police. If you know Tim you know that he hated hated this job because he had to wear a huge foam cowboy hat!!!

Jordan called and said he could not quit laughing about this picture on Jess' Facebook page!

Jess Is On Nairobi Ground

Jessica and the Kenya team made it to Nairobi at 9:30 p.m. (Kenya time) today. They were several hours behind schedule due to a longer layover in Saudi Arabia. Praise God they made it!

Look Whose Coming To Dinner

Johnny never goes anywhere alone. He always travels with an entourage. Yesterday he brought his friends Holden and Chase. It was so good to have a table full of boys again. It did a Mama's heart good!!

Hard Working Boys

My Boys were at my house
When I got home from church
yesterday. Tim was doing some
yard work and Johnny was
checking out my lawnmower.

Do I have great sons or what?!

"BRIGHTER DAYS"

This song "Brighter Days" by Leeland is my favorite song right now. If you get a chance look it up and listen to the lyrics.

Time keeps moving on
Through the sunshine and the storm
And my dreams are set in stone
And someday I'll be who I want to be
For now I'll wait
For the sun to shine again
And for now I'll wait
For the rain to pass away

And I'm looking for the brighter days
When all my hurts seem to fade away
I'm looking for the brighter days to come my way

Faces come and faces go
But none seem to look my way
And walls have stood and walls have fallen
But my heart seems to wait
For now I'll sit at the end of the road
And for now I'll wait
At the end of the pathway

And I'm looking for the brighter days
When all my hurts seem to fade away
I'm looking for the brighter days to come my way

I'll see the sun one day shine upon me
I'll see the sun one day
And watch the nightime turn to morning
But for now it all come back around

And I'm looking for the brighter days
When all my hurts seem to fade away
I'm looking for the brighter days to come my way

"But those who wait upon the Lord WILL renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Right now in my life I am soaring!!!!

Tripod

Jonathan - Timothy - Jordan

Had anyone told me when my three boys were young that one day they would have matching tattoos and I would be kind of proud of them I would have called you crazy. But low and behold here is a picture of my boys and their matching tattoos. Tim designed it...they call themselves the Tripod and that's what the front says. The back has their first initials, TJJ. I am so proud of my boys and am glad and thankful for the love they have for each other.

Jon and Jess

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I think this one speaks volumes.
You can see the joy on their faces!

GRADUATION

This pretty much sums up what I think about having my fourth and fifth children graduate from high school. There were fireworks at the end of the ceremony. It was amazing to say the least!

MY BOY IS HOME

Jordan made it home yesterday!!! We're all so happy to see him, even the pups! I cooked dinner for them tonight. I'm a little rusty but the dinner turned out good.
A friend and her family gave me a birthday present yesterday that I will treasure forever. It's a picture that says, "My blessings call me Mom." It speaks such truth in my life. My children are such a blessing to me.

I Want To Ride My Bicycle!

I have been contemplating buying a bicycle. There is a turquoise one at BJ's that I have my eye on but it's not in my budget. Also Jordan said a bike might be something I ride one time and never again. (He must have heard this speech from his mother!!)

Well low and behold on my way home from work today I spotted a bike at the flea market in Jenkinsburg (they have it every Thursday thru Friday if you are interested). It was only $20 and that was in my budget. I took a spin on it right there in the flea market parking lot , to the old man's amazement! I did not pop the tires so I thought it okay this is a deal. I put my top down and he put it in the back and I brought it home.

The kids and I had a blast on it!!! I'll keep you updated on if Jordan's theory was right.
